Zainabu Kooistra

Chief Executive Officer 

Zainabu Kooistra, CEO of Comfort Care 4U, takes the leadership role in all management affairs of the company; including staffing, service assessment, and interfacing with the agency and client management teams. She oversees the operational aspects of the company, supervises the management team and coordinates the supervision of all facilities through a management team of house leads. Prior to starting Comfort Care 4U in 2012, Zainabu had a successful career in finance as a licensed investment specialist and held positions with Thompson-Plumb Investments, Baker Tilly and Spectrum Brands. She has an MBA from the UW-Madison School of Business. She takes pride in working with residents and families. Her day is considered successful when she puts a smile on someone’s face.

Frank Kooistra

Finance Manager

Frank Kooistra manages the financial affairs of Comfort Care 4U. In that capacity he coordinates with the Chief Executive Office on all activities involving the financial affairs, including developing service budgets, financial reports and paying expenses. Comfort Care 4U works closely with the Berndt CPA firm on all financial and tax issues. Prior to starting the company in 2012, Frank worked with the University of Wisconsin as an Associate Dean in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. He has a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Frank is a veteran and served in the US Army Reserve for over 20 years. He has held consultancy positions in Asia and Africa.  

Karina Christensen

RN, Care Giving Consultant 

Karina Christensen, RN, is retained by Comfort Care 4U to provide oversite of the prescription administration, training and care-giving procedures for all residents. She has been an advocate for quality healthcare in long-term care facilities. Her educational background includes graduating from the UW Madison School of Nursing, BSN and a PhD in physiology. She has had a history of working for long term care and the end of life facilities and she has owned her own consulting business since 2010. She believes in holistic/palliative approach to patients’ care and a member of Wisconsin Assisted Living Association and Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
